Breast Tomosynthesis Workshops Hologic is offering three 3 hour workshops, combining a lecture and hands-on experience reading 3D breast tomosynthesis cases. Each three-hour session is led by an experienced radiologist. The workshops are intended for radiologists interested in learning more about this technology which has the potential to be both a breast cancer screening and diagnostic tool. Workshop learning objectives: Better understand the basic concepts and evolution of breast tomosynthesis. Learn how to read and interpret 3D images to assist in the identification and classification of lesions Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in using a dedicated mammography workstation and review clinical tomosynthesis data sets with accompanying standard mammography. The workshops will provide a unique opportunity to assess the potential impact tomosynthesis could have for a physician’s practice while receiving individual instruction. Three workshops will be offered over the course of the conference.
