The AOCR 2012 Scientific Program Committee invites the submission of abstracts on original work for consideration for a Scientific Paper, Educational Paper, Scientific Exhibit or Educational Exhibit in the meetings programs. Please note that reviewers may reallocate abstracts between these categories.

Electronic Presentation Online System - RANZCR EPOSTM

All accepted papers, posters and invited speakers will be asked to submit their presentation in electronic format using Electronic Presentation Online System (EPOSTM). Please click here  to view examples from the RANZCR ASM 2011. Further correspondence and a link to the EPOSTM will be provided when authors are notified of their acceptance. 

AOSR Member Submission 

Authors Grant 
Trainees/students from an AOSR member country with an accepted abstract are eligible to apply for a A$250 grant towards their registration. Documentation/proof for training must be provided in order to be considered for this grant. Please send your documentation by email to aocr2012@arinex.com.au. If your grant application is accepted you will be notified at the time of author notifications. Limited grants are available.

Summary of Abstract Submission Instructions

Please read through the submission instructions listed below before preparing your abstract:

Step 1: Read the General Policies and Requirements for the submission of abstracts.
 
Step 2: Write your abstract following the Abstract Format and Layout Guidelines.
 
Step 3: Download Scientific Paper, Educational Paper, Scientific Exhibit or Educational Exhibit and insert/add your abstract text. Save as a .doc document to your computer. Abstracts must not exceed the 300 word limit.
NOTE: This word limit excludes national invited speakers who can submit an abstract of 500 words and international invited speakers who may submit full papers.
 
Step 4: Complete the Abstract Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc copy of your abstract.
NOTE: Please print a copy of the abstract submission form for your records prior to clicking ‘upload’.

Invited Speakers – International Guest Faculty

Please note that all International Invited Speakers are not restricted to a word limit and are invited to submit full papers of their work. Please use the supplied template formatting guidelines and submit the abstract.

Invited Speakers – Australian and New Zealand Guest Faculty

Please note that all National Guest Faculty Speakers are not restricted to the 500 word limit and are invited to submit an abstract of 500 words in length. Please use the supplied template formatting guidelines and submit the abstract.

Notification of Acceptance

All abstracts will be peer reviewed. Abstracts will be blind reviewed (reviewers will be blind to the author details and institution(s) of origin). Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author at the end of April 2012. Scientific and Educational Papers submitted for oral presentations that cannot be accommodated within the meeting program will be considered and reviewed for a place in the Scientific Exhibits / Educational Exhibits.

Accepted abstracts will not be published in the meeting proceedings; however authors will be invited to submit their abstracts via EPOS™. The organisers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events. Abstract Format and Layout Guidelines

A properly submitted abstract will include the following elements:

Title
The abstract title should be short, informative and contain the major key words. It should be in Title case, Arial, bold, 10 pt size, and left justified. 
Authors
Abstract titles should be followed by authors’ first initial and last name. Superscript numbers must be used to indicate the author’s institution, followed by city and country (in this order). Do not include degrees or professional titles (e.g. Dr, Prof., etc).
